Have you ever gotten dressed to do a workout and then just quit obout 1/2 way through?
I have. I actually did half my workout, got in the car, drove to the grocery store, picked up + ate a donut. Seriously, I did. #sadbuttrue
Well, that happened this week...do you know what else happened this week? I CRUSHED my full workout, added in the ab option, ate according to my meal plan and drank all the water I was supposed to.
Not every day is perfect.
Not every day is full of donuts..
Not every day is full of salads.
Not every day is full of perfect workouts.
I was messaging with a friend yesterday about coaching. She said she couldn't coach because she's not perfect or at her goals in her own journey.
I want to encourage you... Im a coach + I'm not perfect or at my goals either. I think there's a common misunderstanding that a coach has to be like the girls on fitness magazines or with the perfect bodies on Instagram. But that is a common misconception. A coach on our team, is not a perfect fitness model. A coach on our team, is not usually at her ultimate goals.
A coach on our team IS ready to help anyone that wants it. She IS an authentic work in progress sharing as she works ON her journey. We are about progress NOT perfection. Perfection isn't relatable. Being real, Being open, Being honest, sharing what you struggle with, what you're goals are, how you've improved despite it all IS relatable.
I'm a coach. And I'm not perfect. But everyday, I work to do my best, to be real as I continue working on my journey. I want to show that progress can happen for the imperfect! I want to ultimately do my best to honor God with what He has blessed me with.
My initial goals were to be skinny like when i was younger.
Today, my goals are to continue learning about my relationship with food. To continue to push my physical limits... To continue to feel confident and strong and be PROUD of the example i am becoming to my kids and loved ones.
This is a lifestyle.
Do I follow a meal plan? Yes.
Do I sometimes have missteps? Yes.
Do I follow a structured workout schedule? Yes.
Do some days I lack motivation + only do some of it or only give 50%? Yes.
Just like when we were babies. We try. We fall. We keep trying. We don't decide..."well i tried, fell...waking must not be for me..." So when you have one off day, don't let it halt your momentum. Get up, try again.
We can do the things. We just have to try. If you have been thinking about doing what I do...join us Monday night <3
