Revelation is the easy part and knowing what to do is much different than doing it.
I'm at a crossroads in my life and looking forward only makes sense if I examine where I've been and learn from the journey that's taken me here. Our lives tell stories and before we move onto another chapter, we need to make sure that we exhaust each page and stretch the fabric of our individual grand tales. So what type of author are you and what will your story tell the rest of us?
For years, I struggled with all kinds of issues that made me feel alone and isolated even though I knew I wasn't the only one. It can be very embarrassing to be a YOYO dieter. Or continually struggle with emotional eating. And that feeling of failure for not being able to keep making good choices...especially when you KNOW what you need to do... It can weigh very heavy on a person. I toured diets and fads and exercise programs that yielded temporary results but left me, ultimately, unfulfilled. Everything was a cycle and I was wearing myself out dizzily bouncing from one "guaranteed" result to the next. My story was common and I felt like a million other frustrated people out there. When I began working with BeachBody things changed and I saw tangible results and improvement in my body, mind, and spirit. The sense of accountability and community helped prompt me to be a better person.
As i have said, I was asked to be in a Beachbody corporate run test group. (MY first one ever!!!) And as I sit here today, typing this at yet another crossroads, I want to tell you that something is different; things are not the same and just when my story seemed routine and planned out, I now realize there is still so much more to write and the ending will be phenomenal. My life has changed because I decided to change it. I know what I am supposed to do and how I am supposed to live and eat and I am doing it. This is not a fad or a program or an easy quick-fix. This is my life.
The results I've seen are not just about my weight. (yes, i have lost weight!)
They are internal.
They are mental.
I have learned how to eat.
I have learned what get's my body functioning properly.
I didn't workout for 2/3 of that time because I was focused on learning about the nutrition.
I did it through the holidays season: Thanksgiving, my anniversary, my birthday, Christmas, traveling, my New Years, Valentines, SUPERBOWL...ha ha ha...life...
I have learned how to follow the program while eating out, eating at parties/friends houses and traveling every weekend for the last month.
I honestly KNOW that i have lost this weight for the last time...there is NO reason to ever gain weight again if I follow this lifestyle and sustainable program.
This program is launching officially in May. But, our VIP pre-launch group is open now.
Its open and Im telling you...if you are over the life of YO-YO dieting, emotional eating, binge eating...if you struggle with meal planning, staying on track with the nutrition side of this health journey. This program really is for you. And the BEST part...is you aren't alone. You have a coach that will be with you every step of the way. You have people that will encourage you, motivate you and want to see you succeed!
So, I hope you can be encouraged as you continue writing your own story.
Look back and learn from all you have gone through because the context of your life is important but remember that it doesn't not define you. You are not trapped or imprisoned by the past and your future can be what you make of it. Be strong and write the novel you want the world to read.
If you want to get info and the link to this pre-launch group...message me or comment below.
It's been one year since I started writing this blog.
By nature, writing is not some thing I am that great at, so I wasn't sure how this little experiment was going to unfold. Some days were better than others and once in a while the ideas would flow and before I knew it I had composed something I felt was truly worth reading. Other times I sat in my office and stared at everything but the computer screen because I had no idea what to write. It seems everyone has a blog and I wondered what made mine worth reading? Why should you give up a few minutes of your day that could be spent doing a million other things instead of reading about the doings of some person in a random little town in Northwest Montana?
A year later I think I can at least take a crack at answering that. What I have to say matters because I believe all life is valuable and I have amazing things to share and learn by interacting with you. You add meaning to my life and, in turn, many of you inspire me to want to inspire you. I feel like I have the authority to talk to you because I am you. Many of us have been on this journey together and I am so appreciative to call you teammates as well as friends. You've been with me through some of the roughest times in my life and you've also helped me celebrate some amazing moments, too. I will not forget that. And some of you have been recent additions to the team and its an honor to have you in my life as we journey together. Others read this to simply see what's going on and I am thankful that you count me worthy of your time.
None of us are in the same place we were a year ago and if I could stress anything to you its this: Do not lose hope, no matter what. If you are happy with your life and how things are going, then be thankful and quick to celebrate. Encourage others and lift them up with you. But if you are not where you want to be or even if you are in some place you never imagined possible, remember that you are amazing and valuable and things can change even if you have no idea how. Life will improve and you can make it out of anything with the right amount of support. We are a community and we are here for you.
The past year has flown by. I have met new people. I have been to new places. I have done new things. All things that 365 days go...I had no idea they were in store for me... and I look forward to the next 365 days and what is coming on the horizon.
BeachBody has been such a positive thing in my life and I enjoy sharing my experience with you. Thanks for tuning in!
