Here we are. It's time for Throwback Thursday!
Now, there are a million different ways we could approach this. Favorite movie from our freshman year? A vintage tee shirt we break out of retirement so everyone knows we were at that Pearl Jam concert in 1993? Or, I have three little words that will make us all yearn for yesteryear: New York Seltzer. My point is that it it can be revitalizing and refreshing to look back on our past and gauge how far we've come.
Think about where you were 5 years ago and now think about where you are today. Have you met your goals and are you moving in a positive direction? If so, that's awesome and I would love to hear about it because we can all use the encouragement. But maybe you're not exactly where you want to be, either. If this is the case, then look back and use the last as motivation and let me help you move forward. There is no reason you have to be a victim to your circumstances. It's time to kick Thursday in the ass.
The great thing about days like today is that you know there will be another one next week. And the following week. And even the week after that (assuming the world is still in one piece). It's like a million different opportunities to not let yourself get discouraged. If you can't even contemplate making long-term goals, then let's make one for next week so we can look back to what you pledged for today. I would love to hear your one-week-from-now goals for next Thursday. Share them with all of us.
Here's mine: I want to be present with my kiddos. I want to live each day with purpose and meaning. I would like to keep working on my fitness goals and I would like to keep moving forward in my business. Sounds like a lot, but i will take it one day at a time <3
So, have a great day. Kick back and enjoy the past!
*And i will just leave this picture here to remind you that when you find something that works for you... stick with it.... there are no quick fixes in life, just hard work and dedication.
